Having played professionally in Melbourne for 50 years & owned some 25x clarinets in my time I feel I am qualified to comment on the Yamaha YCL650. It is an excellent instrument in its quality of construction and it’s sound is great. I have a Yamaha CSV Custom model clarinet too and the YCL650 compares very well to it. The 650 came out of the box and played perfectly from the get go.
The 650 has a different bore and slightly larger tone holes which gives it a warm & pleasant tone. Dw
